One-count indictment was filed in U.S. District Court in Bridgeport, Connecticut, charging Oyster River Petroleum, Inc. and its president, Edward R. Granfield, of West Haven, Connecticut; BPS Petroleum Distributors, Inc. and its managerial employee, Mary Randall, of Hamden, Connecticut; and Ralph Caruso of Branford, Connecticut, with conspiring to fix prices, in violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Act, of home heating oil for cash delivery to customers in the New Haven, Connecticut metropolitan area, beginning in or about September 1990 and continuing at least until January 1991
