Purpose of Hearing

On Tuesday, February 26th, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., in Room 2167 Rayburn House Office Building, the Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation met to examine the Administration's fiscal year 2009 budget for the Coast Guard and Maritime Administration.

The Subcommittee received testimony from the Coast Guard on the service's fiscal year 2009 budget request and the Deepwater acquisition program.  The Subcommittee also received testimony from the Administrator of the United States Maritime Administration on the Administration's fiscal year 2009 budget request.
