NOAA Web servers automatically collect information such as your Internet
Service Provider (ISP), date and time of requests for web pages, status
code of your request, size of the requested file, the type of browser
used, and the last site visited. This information is used for site
management and for statistical purposes. This government computer
system uses software programs to create summary statistics, which
are used for such purposes as assessing what information is of most
and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and
identifying system performance or problem areas. In addition, visitors
