Eat Local, Be Happy
Well, OK, maybe we can't promise eating local will make you happy. But if you accept our Eat Local Challenge Sept. 5-14, we can at least promise your tummy will be happy -- and so will Wisconsin's farmers, and so will we.

The Eat Local Challenge calls on Wisconsinites to spend 10 percent of their household food budgets on locally-raised food for these 10 days. Other states are issuing similar challenges this month.

Eating locally -- being a "locavore" -- helps the environment and helps Wisconsin's economy. It's not just veggies. It's meats and bread and honey and fruit and cheese -- you get the picture. Read more >>
