PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR MASTER PLAN EXTENDED TO 5:00PM, OCT 17, 2008
REDUCTION IN FORCE
On September 22, 2008, in a Board Business Meeting, the Orleans Parish School Board adopted Resolution 41-08, declaring that due to its current financial constraints, it has become necessary to implement a Reduction In Force/Reassignment and authorized the Superintendent to initiate immediately all necessary announcements and notifications of the conditions necessitating the Reduction In Force.
The Board further directed the Superintendent to submit to the Board on October 2, 2008, in a Special Meeting of the Board, his recommendation of the number and nature of the positions to be reduced in accordannce with Board Policy G737-Reduction In Force/Reassignment.
