Elementary and Secondary - Educators NASA Aerospace Education Services Project AESP is a comprehensive project designed to reach out to the formal and informal education community in all fifty states and the U.S. territories. Amateur Radio on the International Space Station This project provides students with the unique opportunity to talk directly with Astronauts on the ISS while they orbit Earth. Earth System Science Education Alliance Supports educational institutions across the country in offering a series of online ESS courses for teachers. ISS EarthKAM This is a NASA-sponsored education project that enables thousands of students to photograph and examine Earth from the unique perspective of space. The Minority University Research and Education Projects The project fosters the research and development capabilities of Minority Institutions, thus contributing to NASA's mission. Scholarship and internship opportunities are available through the individual MI grant award. NASA Explorer Schools Selected School Teams of educators and administrators will join NASA in a three-year partnership for sustained professional development to develop rich learning opportunities in mathematics, science, and technology for students and families. The National Space Grant College and Fellowship Project The project contributes to the nation's science enterprise by funding research, education, and public service projects through a national network of 52 university-based Space Grant consortia. New Opportunities Through Minority Initiatives in Space Science The project is designed to encourage minority students (particularly those of Hawaiian ancestry) to engage in learning about culture and its relevance to the study of space science. Science Engineering Mathematics and Aerospace Academy A national innovative program designed to increase participation and retention of K-12 youth who are underrepresented in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The Visiting Researcher Exchange and Outreach Partnership VREO is a partnership between the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Academic Affairs Office and Universities Space Research Association. The project is designed to stimulate involvement of university, private sector and government agency researchers with NASA.
