Pamela Seldon Moore, Director of System Operations Safety

The System Operations Safety Management (SOSM) office was formally established on July 2, 2007, to develop, guide, and oversee safety management activities within System Operations Services. The SOSM office staff is committed to facilitating collaborative and comprehensive review, determination, mitigation, and documentation of risks and hazards created through National Air Space (NAS) changes.

The SOSM office is established as a standalone directorate to:

  • Oversee and facilitate Safety Risk Assessment within System Operations Services and across other Service Units/Lines of Business
  • Develop and maintain safety data repository of Document Change Proposal (DCP), Waivers and Interpretations, and associated Safety Management System (SMS) documentation
  • Ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy of ATO-R, ATO-S and AOV originated Safety Orders/Handbooks
