Create an account

To create a geodata.gov account:

  1. Click the 'Sign Up' button located at the top, right of the screen (see Figure 1).
  2. The Create New User form opens
  3. Complete the New User form and click Continue
Note Fields with asterisks * are required fields, you must complete them to create a geodata.gov account.

  1. Review your personal information and click Continue to create your new account.

    Tip If your information is not correct, click Cancel to return to the form and correct your information.

  2. The application alerts you that you successfully created an account and you are now a member of geodat.gov portal (see Figure 2). If you enter a User ID that already exists, you are prompted to enter a different User ID.

    Note You may re-enter a new User ID as many times as necessary.

  1. Click Continue again and you are returned to the geodata.gov Home page.
  2. Click the Log in button and log in to the portal with your newly created User ID and Password (see Figure 5).

    Important You must log in to activate your newly created geodata.gov account.
