Please join us for a presentation by Senior Fellow Mohammad Stanekzai, Advisor to Afghan President Karzai and Vice Chair of the Demobilization and Reintegration Commission of Illegal Armed Groups. Mr. Stanekzai's presentation will examine current approaches to the insurgency in Afghanistan, including efforts at reconciliation. Security remains one of the top priorities among the multifaceted challenges Afghanistan is facing today. The situation in Afghanistan is complex and difficult, but it is not hopeless: peace building in Afghanistan requires an integrated and broad approach.
