 Human Genome Epidemiology: An Introduction
By M.J. Khoury

Muin J. Khoury video

The video tape and slide set listed below were opening remarks presented by Muin J. Khoury, MD, PhD at the Human Genome Epidemiology Workshop entitled, "Scientific Foundation for Using Genetic Information to Improve Health and Prevent Disease".

The workshop, which was sponsored by the Public Health Genetics Unit, Cambridge UK and CDC's National Office of Public Health Genomics, was held at Robinson College in Cambridge, UK on July 7-9, 2002. The opening remarks were prepared as an introduction to the HuGE course but actually provide an overview and introduction to the whole field of human genome epidemiology (HuGE), which translates gene discoveries to disease prevention by integrating population-based data on gene-disease relationships with the development of interventions.
