Change to Country Groupings

With the release of the January 2005 statistics on February 23, 2005, the Census Bureau will begin publishing redesigned country exhibits found in both the Final and Preliminary U.S. Imports for Consumption of Steel Products (FT-900A). The primary modifications will consist of removing Western Europe, Eastern Europe, European Union (15), and the Former Soviet Republics. Additions to the exhibits include Europe, Newly Industrialized Countries, and other individual countries that have accounted for increased steel imports in recent years. For an example of the revised exhibits, please go to www.census.gov/foreign-trade/2005_examples.html. If you have any questions or comments contact Vanessa Ware at (301) 763-2311 or e-mail at vanessa.ware@census.gov.
