This monthly meeting is
designed to provide trade
associations, small businesses,
USDA program and procurement
representatives an opportunity
to exchange information
that will increase opportunities
for small businesses to
increase their contracting
with USDA and other Federal
agencies. The meeting, hosted
by James E. House, Director,
Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization's Director,
is held on the first Tuesday
of every month.
Special Guest Speakers
are featured during each
Briefing. The program begins
at 8:30 AM during which
time participants network
while enjoying breakfast
in the USDA cafeteria. Formal
introductions, brief presentations
and an important Q &
A session begin at 9:45
AM. The session ends at
11 AM.
The Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization
(OSDBU) held a First Tuesday
Association Briefing on
February 6, 2007, hosted
by James E. House, Director.
The event was attended by
approximately 100 persons
representing small and large
businesses, trade associations
and Federal employees. Richard
Kahn, Director, Acquisition
Management Division, Farm
Service Agency, was the
featured speaker and discussed
the Farm Service Agencys
2007 Acquisition Programs.
