Style Standards

The following templates provide basic style and layout options for sites wishing to conform with the Purdue top-tier branding. The templates were designed for use in Purdue's Content Management System (CMS). Purdue Marketing Communications can help your department conform to Purdue.edu's new design standards by setting up a new CMS project and providing training along the way.

To use the templates outside of the CMS:

  1. Click on the image of the template you would like to use
  2. Copy the source of the page by right-clicking and selecting "View Source"
  3. Open Dreamweaver or a basic text editor and paste the source view
  4. Save the file with a ".html" extension

Questions

  1. Can the header and footer be modified?
Color changes are allowed through internal CSS changes. The header background image can also be modified in this way. The footer information will need to be updated to reflect your department. We do ask that you do not change the layout of the templates.

  2. Where can I get help with my site?
Purdue Marketing Communications offers assistance with site design, audience research, CMS training, and general branding. PMC also has access to a ready-to-go CMS project to get your web site off the ground faster. Contact PMC for more information
