Introduction

New Hope Center (NHC), located at 602 Scarboro Road, is Y‑12's public interface facility. Areas of NHC designated for public use — when not needed for the conduct of National Nuclear Security Administration official business — may be available to some not-for-profit organizations for cultural, educational, and recreational events.

Those who may be approved to use NHC public areas are 501(c)(3) organizations recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and organized for any of the following tax exempt purposes: charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering national or international amateur sports competition, and preventing cruelty to children or animals.

Of course, federal agencies or contractors performing work for federal agencies may use NHC for official government business.

NHC will not be used for political purposes or for any purpose that discriminates on the basis of age, race, color, religion, sex, physical or mental handicap, or national origin.
