Procurement

Small Business Vendor Outreach

The U.S. Secret Service participates with the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization in monthly small business Vendor Outreach Sessions (VOS). These one-on-one sessions enable the small business specialist to meet with small, 8(a), HUBZone small, small disadvantaged, women-owned small, veteran-owned small and service disabled veteran owned small businesses to discuss their capabilities statement, learn about potential procurement opportunities as well as give advice. The VOS site can be found by going to http://www.dhs.gov/dhspublic/interapp/editorial/editorial_0524.xml.

Central Contractor Registration (CCR)

The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requires contractor registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchase agreement on or after October 1, 2003. The U.S. Secret Service requires current and potential contractors to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for contract awards and payments. Register your business with the http://www.ccr.gov.

Bidder's Information

The U.S. Secret Service posts new open market business opportunities with an estimated value of over $25,000 on http://www.fedbizopps.gov.

Forecast Opportunities

The U.S. Secret Service's upcoming contract opportunities (along with other DHS organizational elements) are listed in the Department of Homeland Security's Forecast of Contract Opportunities. The forecast of contract opportunities can be found by going to http://www.fido.gov/dhs/aap/publicview.asp. The forecast page provides DHS projections of all anticipated contract actions above $100,000.

Representation and Certifications

Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) is an e-Government initiative that was designed to replace most of the paper based Representations and Certifications (Reps and Certs) in Section K of solicitations with an Internet application.

Prior to ORCA, vendors were required to submit Reps and Certs for each individual large purchase contract award. The U.S. Secret Service is now using ORCA and contractors only have to enter their Reps and Certs information once for use on all Federal contracts. The ORCA site can be found by going to http://www.bpn.gov

Please visit www.dhs.gov/openforbusiness for links to Department of Homeland Security's contracts, grants, small business opportunities, research and development and contacts.
