Dr. John Kylan Lynch is a Program Director in the Office of Minority Health and Research (OMHR) at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). The primary objective of the OMHR is to plan, coordinate, and direct the Institute's research and training programs, designed to address health disparities in neurological disease, build research capacity at medical institutions, and develop and train future neuroscientists and health professionals. Dr. Lynch received a B.S. degree from Northwest Missouri State University, a D.O. degree from the University of Health Sciences, College of Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, and an M.P.H. from Yale University. Following a residency in neurology at Northwestern University, Dr. Lynch completed postdoctoral training in cerebrovascular disease at Yale University and training in Neuroepidemiology at the NINDS. Dr. Lynch has participated in a number of clinical studies and his areas of interest include cerebrovascular disorders in
infants and children, genetic and prothrombotic factors in stroke, health services research, and Neuroepidemiology. |
