Oregon EMT Reciprocity for BASICS AND PARAMEDICS
Also known as Certification by Endorsement

A currently certified EMT relocating to Oregon may be eligible for certification at the Basic or Paramedic level in Oregon through reciprocity. (Oregon does not recognize Intermediates from other states.)

All EMTs moving to Oregon will be required to undergo a fingerprint background check. The fingerprints you will need to use will be provided in your packet.

In addition, all Paramedics that were first certified after June 30, 1999 are required to have an A.A.S. degree in Paramedicine or the equivalent. You can click here to review the requirements.

To obtain a packet of information, please complete and submit the form below. Please allow one week for the packet to arrive in the mail. Once you receive your packet, review all the material as it is very complete and should answer most if not all your questions.
