The effectiveness of provider outreach and education will be measured by corresponding reductions in the Medicare payment error rate.  This rate is considered a "snapshot" that illustrates providers' understanding of the Medicare FFS program.  Error rate data will be collected from the Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) program and Hospital Payment Monitoring Program (HPMP).  For more information, visit the CERT website below.
