The Neuro-Oncology Branch is a trans-institute program
of the National Cancer Institute and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke of the National
Institutes of Health. The aim of this branch is
to develop an integrated clinical, translational
and basic research program for the purpose of developing
novel experimental therapeutics for children and
adults with tumors of the central nervous system.

The Neuro-Oncology Branch is dedicated to
the treatment of adults and children with
brain tumors. Since the branch is affiliated
with both the National Cancer Institute (NCI)
and the National Institute of Neurological
Diseases and Stroke (NINDS), we are able to
provide an interdisciplinary approach to the

supporting the training of individuals who
plan an academic career in neuro-oncology.
Applicants with M.D. degrees who have completed
at least two years of postdoctoral training
toward board certification in their chosen
subspecialty are candidates for this research
