2007.10.13Due to unforseen trouble during recent maintenance, many of our popular datasets are not currently accessible and this problem may persist until at least Monday, October 15. These datasets include the NCEP/NCAR, ERA40, and NARR reanalyses, the NCEP FNLs and ADP observations, and several others. You will receive a "Document Not Found" error when you try to access these datasets. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working hard to restore access to these datasets.
2007.10.07All of our web services will be unavailable from 8pm MDT on October 12 through 10pm MDT on October 13, 2007 while semi-annual maintenance is being performed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

2005.05.09 Notice of Extended Outage: Our web and ftp services will be unavailable for the four-day period from 12am Thursday 5/19 through about 7pm Sunday 5/22 (MDT). We apologize for the inconvenience.
2005.04.28ERA40 Users: FTP access to ERA40 data will be unavailable from 12pm to 1:30pm on Friday April 29. During that time, the Prepare an FTP Download option on the data pages will not work for new requests and previously-created ftp directories will be inaccessible. We apologize for the inconvenience.
2005.04.01 ERA40 Users: The data files in the ERA40 data sets will be inaccessible for a large part of the afternoon of Saturday, April 2 while we upgrade our system. We apologize for the inconvenience.
2005.03.31ERA40 Users Only: The ability to create an ftp directory for data file retrieval is not currently working due to system maintenance. At this time, we are not sure when this functionality will be restored, but we are working to correct the problem. We apologize for the inconvenience.

2002.04.19Our web site will be down from 6-8pm MST on Friday, April 19 for a disk upgrade. Once the site is back up, it will take about 14 hours to restore all of our files, so you may experience numerous "Document Not Found" errors. Please do not report these errors. The web site should be fully functional by about 12pm MST on Saturday, April 20. We appreciate your patience as we upgrade our server so we can provide better service to our users.
2002.03.19Our web site will be down between 7:00 and 8:00 am MST on Wednesday, March 20 for a network connection upgrade.
