Cookies Notice

i.e., tokens that pass information back and forth from
your machines to the server and remain after you close
your browser.
The Office of Naval Research does use session cookies,
i.e., tokens that remain active only until you close your
browser, in order to make the site easier for you to use.
No database of information obtained from these cookies
is kept and when you close your browser application, the
cookie is deleted from your computer.
The Office of Naval Research website reads your browser
version and then returns a cascading style sheet (CSS)
file that is specific for your browser version. The CSS
file provides color and layout information for the ONR
website. Since all web browsers handle CSS information
differently this method will ensure that the information
you see in one browser will look similar in another browser.
If the size of the text on the page is still too small
for your specific reading style, read
our website tips on increasing your text size.
If you have preset your browser to deny the storing of
cookies, you will still be able to view the site with the
appropriate CSS file.
