Strange, beautiful, graceful, ugly, clumsy, dangerous, playful…. All of these adjectives describe life in the oceans. Swimming, diving, undulating, drifting, these various life forms range from drifting microscopic creatures that are transported by wind, currents, and waves, to the great whales weighing over a hundred tons that migrate thousands of miles under their own power. Don’t forget the worms that look like flowers, the corals that look like trees, and the fish that look like snakes as well as the other thousands of weird and wonderful creatures that make up life in the sea.
