License databases have been created to help you:
- find licenses you will need as a new business owner.
- answer questions regarding a specific license.
- check license status for a specific business.
- compile a list of companies with a particular type of license.

Any weighing or measuring device being used commercially (that is, if a price is based upon the reading of the device) in the state of Oregon requires an annual license through the Oregon Department of Agriculture. Measurement Standards Division has provided a Webpage with a list of licenses we require for weighing and measuring devices.

To browse through the list of licenses available through the Oregon Department of Agriculture, you will need to complete a search of the state of Oregon license database. Click on the link at the left of the screen that reads, "browse by agency or category for license." Select "agriculture" from the drop-down menu on the lower search box and click on the "search" button. This will give you list of all licenses available through the Oregon Department of Agriculture. You will be able to:
- search for basic information about a required license.
- find requirements, fees, forms, laws, contacts regarding that license.
- compile a list of license holders.
