If the data you want is not free (indicated in the "COST:" section of the
relevant dataset home page) and you do not have an NCAR computing account, you
will need to order the data from us.
Users at
UCAR member universities
usually qualify for an NCAR computing account which allows them to use the NCAR
computing system to download our archive files from the MSS, at no charge from
DSS. Please see the
NCAR computing request pages
for more information. Commercial and international users do not qualify.
Users who are not members of UCAR should complete and submit this

to obtain a cost estimate or quote.

DSS, as part of NCAR, is a non-profit business that charges
only what it costs to produce and deliver an order, and our quotes include
any available discounts.
If you use data provided by us in published research, we request that you
acknowledge the original source (or sources) of the data. This information is
located on the dataset pages. We also request that you acknowledge NCAR as
