Department

Personnel
&
Administration
(DPA)
is
the
cabinet
department
that
serves
as
the
business
center
for
Colorado’s
$13
billion
state
government.
We
are
responsible
for
the
largest
workforce
in
the
State
--
60,000
employees
--
and
for
managing
state
facilities
and
real
estate,
as
well
as
providing
business
services
ranging
from
telecommunications
and
computing
to
administrative
hearings,
financial
accounting,
State
Archives,
purchasing,
collections,
insurance
and
risk
management,
printing,
and
motor
vehicles.
Our
job
is
to
make
sure
state
departments
and
agencies
have
all
of
the
tools
they
need
to
better
serve
the
citizens
of
Colorado.
