NASS Agricultural Chemical Usage Publications

Issued May 22, 2008 by the Agricultural Statistics Board of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Agricultural Statistics Service. For information contact Mark Miller at (202) 720-0684.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) announced today that the Agricultural Chemical Usage 2007 Field Crops Summary released May 21 will be the last agricultural chemical usage publication until 2010. No agricultural chemical usage surveys will be conducted on crops produced in 2008. However, under a cooperative agreement with the USDA Economic Research Service, NASS plans to collect wheat nutrient and pesticide data as part of the 2009 Agricultural Resource Management Survey and plans to publish this data in May 2010.

NASS announced its revised schedule for collecting agricultural chemical usage data in a March 4, 2008 Federal Register (Vol. 73, No. 43, March 4, 2008, pp. 11613-11614).
