As a step in the recovery planning process, members of the Oregon / Northern California Coast Technical Recovery Team (ONCC TRT) identified multiple populations of Oregon Coast coho salmon and classified them by historical population structure and interaction. This work resulted in the draft report titled "Identification of historical populations of coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) in the Oregon Coast Evolutionarily Significant Unit" (Lawson et al. 2004).
