The Potential Effects of Global Climate Change on the United States
The Potential Effects of Global Climate Change on the United States (PDF, 457 pp., 5,892 KB, About PDF) is one of the most comprehensive published studies of the potential impacts of the greenhouse effect. It examines national effects and, more specifically, impacts on four regions of the United States: California, the Great Lakes, the Southeast, and the Great Plains. Fifty studies conducted by government, academic, and consulting scientists to examine impacts are included. EPA provided common scenarios of climate change to the scientists for use in their analyses. This report is an overview of the results of those studies.
