Industrial Technologies Program Overview

Photo of technology used in manufacturing.

Partnerships with U.S. industry to develop and deliver advanced technologies that increase energy efficiency, improve environmental performance, and boost productivity are key to America's energy future.

The Industrial Technologies Program supports NREL RD&D in many key technologies that support these goals. It also specializes in technology transfer - working directly with industry to provide the technologies, information, consulting, and tools to effectively implement the technologies.

NREL works directly with industry to transfer relevant technologies ready for potential commercial use. In addition, the Laboratory supports the mission to foster partnerships among industry, trade groups, government agencies, and other organizations to research, develop, and deliver advanced energy efficiency, renewable energy, and pollution prevention technologies for industrial customers.
