"My class and I just want to thank you so very much for matching us up with Christean Cole in Peru. She shares with us great information about adjusting to life in a new country and learning a new language. Her letters are informative, humorous, and very touching. Since my class is composed of ESOL students, they can relate to her experiences. I have three students from Peru in my class and each time we hear from Christean, they become very nostalgic for their homeland.

My name is Daniel Lopez. I am a teacher of Upper School Spanish and World History at Colorado Academy in Denver. I am writing to tell you that our "adopted" Peace Corps Volunteer, Christy Trimmer (Bolivia), surprised us with a visit last week! She brought slides and artifacts from her site, as well as letters from local kids. Needless to say, my students couldn't have been more excited.

I just wanted to let you know that the ""match" program has been such an enriching thing for my classes. And your volunteers are exceptional people! (But you know that already...no?)

I would like to take this time to thank you for placing my class with Peace Corps Volunteer David Tye. During his holiday break, David came to visit the students, and talked to us for over two hours. David brought, photots, maps, African items, and a present for the class. The students were enthralled, and I was enchanted with his ability to meet the third goal of Peace Corps in "bringing the world back home." I am a returned Peace Corps Volunteer, and this is what it is all about. Thank you! [Could] David can get any kind of recognition for what he has done, as he did not have to drive four hours to talk to my students, he did not have to bring a present, bring pictures, or totally engage us from his very first anecdote.
WWS is a wonderful program, and I thank you again for the placement of this volunteer with my class. Oh, I can not forget that when David first wrote to us, it was not a general letter to the class, no that would have been to mundane, this young man wrote 21 seperate letters individually to each student, adn one to me the teacher. Talk about hooking and engaging learning,Wow!!!
