Call to Order /Roll Call
The meeting was called to order at 2:35 p.m. eastern time.

Welcome
The DFO welcomed CDAC members and guests to the call.

Follow-up on CDAC recommendation  (cultural and linguistic competency link)
Mr. Collins stated that he will make the decision regarding the FAQ’s  and wanted to keep the answers clean, short and concise without difficulty.
He encouraged CDAC members to look at the Council’s website.

Mr. Vaughn questioned if the NCD website had change in the last few months and agreed to assist members in making shorter answers.

Review CDAC Success
Mr. Simmons stated that the advisory committee has had several successes which included its recommendations of the cultural and linguistic competency link to be added to the NCD website, work of vice chair John Armendariz and the assigning of CDAC members to NCD committees.

Mr. Simmons expressed his appreciation of  chairperson Vaughn meeting with CDAC members and taking the recommendations to the full Council.

Update regarding committee appointments
Mr. Collins stated that selection process is in a draft form and the chairperson will appoint CDAC members to the appropriate committees.

Mr. Collins also stated that CDAC members need to submit a non-disclosure form for being on such committee.

Mr. Vaughn stated  the homeland securities committee is a sensitive committee and does not require any CDAC membership at this time.

Mr. Vaughn stated that he attended a meeting in Louisiana which involved cultural diversity issues.

Q&A’s
Mr. Simmons posed several questions regarding CDAC’s impact on NCD’s business.

Announcements
Mr. Collins stated that he will look at the selections of committee interests and help the chairperson make an orderly choice.

Mr. Coward commended Mr. Simmons for his commitment, leadership, organization and focus to CDAC.

Adjournment
