Mixed Oxide Fuel News (NUREG/BR-0284)

The Mixed Oxide Xchange newsletter was published quarterly from March 2001 through March 2005 to highlight recent news and events associated with the NRC’s licensing of a mixed oxide (MOX) fuel fabrication facility. As noted in the last issue of the newsletter, the NRC issued the Final Environmental Impact Statement, Construction Authorization, and associated Final Safety Evaluation Report for the facility. Upon completion of these milestones, the NRC decided to discontinue publication of the newsletter and instead, put more resources into maintaining the Web site in order to provide more frequent updates on the status of the MOX project.
