Instructions for Submission of Comments on Public Review Draft

Please follow these instructions for preparing and submitting your comments. Note that comments should include the page number and page location of the text being addressed, e.g., on page 36, 2nd paragraph, in the sentence starting with "...........", or on page 95, in the 1st sentence of the figure caption.

Submission: Your comments must be submitted as an e-mail attachment to: by 14 August 2008. Do not submit comments directly to lead authors.

In making comments:

  • Provide complete contact information. The Climate Change Science Program Office (CCSPO) may wish to contact you seeking clarification.
  • Provide specific language for suggested deletions, additions, and/or amendments. Do not use terminology such as "ditto" or "see above".
  • Do not use auto-formatting or embedded comments in tables.
  • Provide focused comments directly linked, if possible, to specific page, paragraph and line numbers.
  • Present comments in sequence from the front of the draft document to the back.
  • Insert your name and affiliation after each comment.

To be considered, your comments must be submitted by e-mail, by Close of Business on 14 August 2008, referencing "Comments on USP draft" with your surname in the subject line (e.g., Comments on USP draft: Smith). Please re-label your comments file attachment with your surname to help with the collation process (e.g., <USP draft-Smith.doc>)
