Ameristar Fence Products Receives Export Achievement Award from the Department of Commerce

Oklahoma District Export Council (OkDEC) Chairman, Chuck Mills presented Ameristar Fence Products with the U. S. Commercial Service’s Export Achievement Certificate at the 25th Annual Oklahoma World Trade Conference.

“With 96 percent of the world’s consumers living outside of the United States, the economic security of our nation is increasingly dependent on exporting. In many respects, our domestic market is a mature market for our goods and services. If we are to continue to grow as an economy, we must look outward, to new markets where consumers seek the best products and services in the world—those made in the United States. The export efforts of these three Oklahoma companies exemplifies this outward looking,” said OkDEC Chairman Mills.

Ameristar Fence Products was chartered two decades ago to provide specialty fence products that were more affordable but did not compromise the quality level demanded by specifiers and consumers. The company began its manufacturing operations in 1982 and within a year, Ameristar became the first manufacturer to electrostatically coat fence products with a superior polyester powder coating. Realizing the need to address growing segments of the fence industry, Ameristar began to produce ornamental fencing in 1985. Steady growth since that time pushed the company to a rapid evolution toward high-technology, high speed production systems for roll-forming, pipe and tube manufacturing and the most advanced epoxy and polyester (double-coat) coating line in the industry. The result has boosted Ameristar to its current position as the largest manufacturer of ornamental fencing in the world. Ameristar Fence Products’ first export sale was to Sweden. It’s most recent international market penetration is Saudi Arabia. They are currently exporting to five countries.

With its network of offices across the United States and in more than 80 countries, the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration utilizes its global presence and international marketing expertise to help U.S. companies sell their products and services worldwide.
