The Office of Cyber Security is seeking interns for Summer 2008!

Internship Overview

The Office of Cyber Security (OCS) is the policy, strategy and IT security organization for the State of Colorado. Interns working in this environment will gain first-hand experience in a broad range of state government IT security operations. Internships in the Office of Cyber Security are unpaid; however, the candidates selected will have exposure to Executive Branch appointees, Public Agency IT managers, and other government officials. Interns will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in a large enterprise network. An OCS internship would be well suited for a person with a career interest in IT Security in either the public or private sector.


Interns will be involved in various aspects of the day-to-day operations of the office. This will include:

  • Technical administration of security systems
  • Incident Response
  • Risk and Threat analysis
Eligibility

  • Applicants must be in good academic standing with an accredited university and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Candidates must pass a rigorous criminal background search.
  • Dress code is business professional.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours/week during business hours M-F 8am-5pm.
  • Applicants should have a background in technology and an interest in learning about national level and state government cyber security operations and issues.
