Diablo Canyon

The Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant is located near San Luis Obispo, California. The operating license for Unit 1 was issued in November 1984 and it expires in September 2021. The operating license for Unit 2 was issued in August 1985 and expires in April 2025. Pacific Gas & Electric Company owns and operates the facility. In response to public interest, the NRC has established this web page to provide information on a variety of issues and topics.
