Parents Speak Up National Campaign

The Parents Speak Up National Campaign is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This nationwide campaign - including TV, radio, print, outdoor advertising, and community events - is encouraging parents to talk to their preteens and teens about waiting to have sex. 4parents.gov is the primary resource tool for the Parents Speak Up National Campaign. This Federal government website serves parents, guardians, and caretakers who wish to talk to youth about avoiding sexual activity. Through interactive tools, statistics, and talking tips, 4parents.gov encourages parents to take an active role in the health and well-being of their children. Parents have the greatest impact on the decisions that their pre-teens and teens make regarding sexual behavior, and parents deserve support and resources to equip their children and teens to make the best health choice: abstinence from sex, drugs, tobacco, and alcohol.
