Finding Information On This Site
There are any ways to find information on this site. Here are what we think are the top 3 ways to locate information:
- A-Z Index
- Google Search
- On-line searches of Databases
A-Z
Index
This is best used when you looking for a document(s) associated with a specific
topic. This index can be used in two ways:
- Using the alphabet - look for a word that is a main part of what you are
looking for .
- Example: How to locate a mammography facility - look under the word mammography
- Use the search option that exists in the A-Z index to search for a word.
- Example : How to locate a mammography facility - search for the word facility
Google search
This is best used when you are unsure of what topic the idea you are looking
for is under but you have some word that relates to the topic.
- Type in any number of descriptive words (Google will find documents that contain all of the words). This search will find documents and may also find items in some of our database collections.

On-line searching of databases
This is best use when you are trying to find out very specific information about
a company or a product. Some examples are:
- In you are trying to locate a mammography facility in your state you could go to the mammography facility database and search for a facility by zip code or state
- If you are searching for a product that a company makes you may need to check both the 510(k) and PMA database. You might search for the product by company name or product name.
