June 7, 2005 ARL is about to start on a new effort to address issues
of coastal dispersion, in collaboration with Jackson State University.
In the past, efforts along similar lines have been dedicated to specific
sources, such as nuclear power plants or the sites of satellite launching.
Now, the activity will be directly aimed
at improving the description of dispersion regimes affected by land-sea
breezes, in general. The Gulf of Mexico coast is seen as the focus
of this new work. Contact information: Bruce B. Hicks |
