The line drawings seen throughout this web site, such as the one above of the retired NOAA Ship DISCOVERER, were originally created in pen and ink by Charles R. (Bob) Hitz. Mr. Hitz retired from NOAA, but still carries on the tradition of creating these drawings for newer ships. He also creates ship plaques featuring his drawings.
