Year-End Reports

Previous Year-End Report Users

Instructions for those manufacturers that utilized the Year-End Report Generator for the 2006 reporting year (i.e. 2005 data):

If you no longer have the computer which generated the reports filed last year (due to upgrade, disposition, or etc.), or you are using a computer which does not currently contain the Year-End Report Generator, then you should follow instructions for the NEW USER.

Below you will find three files. Both documents should be read before utilizing the software program.

  1. "Manufacturers Year-End Report Generator – User Guide."
    HTML Version

    PDF Version

The User Guide contains the minimum system requirements that are necessary in order to successfully operate the Year-End Report Generator. Additionally, the User Guide provides valuable information on creating report packages, amending report packages, and submitting report packages to the DEA. You should review the document before utilizing the Year-End Report Generator for reporting 2005 statistical data.

  2. "Frequently Asked Questions"

The second file contains the "Frequently Asked Questions" received by the DEA from those registrants that utilized the software last year. This document should be reviewed before utilizing the software.

  3. "Manufacturer Year-End Report Generator - Reset"

The third file is the "Year-End Report Generator - Reset". Running this program on the computer in which the Year-End Report Generator is currently installed, will reset the Year-End Report Generator to a "just installed" state. Registrants are advised to create a back-up copy of their 2004 report package utilizing the "export" function in the Year-End Report Generator before running the "reset" application.

Although not mentioned in the Guide, an additional requirement necessary to print hard copy reports is a laser printer (note: InkJet, DeskJet or BubbleJet style printers can not be utilized to print hard copy reports). Although not required for the successful utilization of the Year-End Report Generator, Microsoft Access (2000 or better) is required to view the contents of the 3.5" floppy disk (and the back-up copy) that will be created and submitted to the DEA.
