Description The objective of this project is to develop a geographical information system (GIS) for met-ocean data which allows the user to interactively query and update data.

A 2-year project is anticipated. Current funding is for first year only, and the accomplishment of the following tasks:

  1. Identify and Gather Met-Ocean Data and Identify Basic Data Tools.
  2. Develop Geodatabase.
  3. Populate Geodatabase with Baseline Met-Ocean Data.
  4. Develop Tools for Automatic Data Query and Database Update.
  5. Develop Users' Manual and Tutorial.
  6. Explore Intranet/Internet Geodatabase Access Options.
  7. Explore Met-Ocean Geospatial Data Analysis and Statistics Options.
  8. Prepare Final Year 1 Report.
Progress Cooperative Agreement awarded July 2008 with period of performance to commence 8/31/08.
