Description The objective was to analyze existing and future recordings from the Seafloor Earthquake Measurement System (SEMS), and to perform theoretical calculations to improve our understanding of seafloor motions from earthquakes.
Progress SEMS data from the Santa Barbara Island earthquake (September 4, 1981), the North Palm Springs earthquake (July 8, 1986), the Oceanside earthquake (September 13, 1986) and the Upland earthquake (February 28, 1990) was sent by Sandia to the U.S. Geological Survey for further analysis. Data is not available for viewing.
