U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Resources
- Clean School Bus USA
An EPA voluntary program working to reduce both children's exposure to diesel exhaust and the amount of air pollution created by diesel school buses. One of the program's three primary strategies is encouraging policies to eliminate unnecessary public school bus idling. - SmartWay Transport Partnership
An EPA voluntary program that challenges companies that ship products, as well as the truck and rail companies delivering these products, to reduce vehicle idling and adopt other strategies to improve the environmental performance of their freight operations.
