Serves as the Laboratory Chief of the Laboratory of Membrane Biochemistry & Biophysics, NIAAA. Supervises the Section and Unit Chiefs as well as administrative personnel in the Office of the Chief. Serves as the Chief and scientific leader of the Section of Nutritional Neuroscience.

Mission Statement

To understand how exposure to psychological stress deleteriously impacts regulation of emotional behavior and increases the propensity to abuse alcohol and illicit drugs. To elucidate the neural mechanisms and genetic factors underlying these effects using the mouse as a model system.

		*Gerald Landayan* Secretary 301.443.0773 glandayn@mail.nih.gov Serves as an Administrative Assistant for the LMBB, NIAAA. Performs procurement functions for laboratory supplies and small equipment. Manages the laboratory property system and inventory. Supports the Laboratory Chief in clerical functions.
