The Flood Hazard Research Centre (FHRC) is an interdisciplinary centre based in the School of Health and Social Sciences.
FHRC specialises in the interaction between people and the environment, together with the analysis and appraisal of environmental policies. A large part of the research refers to the management of the water environment.
We would welcome collaboration with any interested research bodies and individuals.
Our aim is to develop our understanding of the relations between people, water and the environment, so as to reduce the risks from hazards and improve policies for the water environment for current and future generations.
