NASA TV Broadcasts Coverage of Goes-N Satellite Launch
 
 
NASA TV's Media Channel will carry Boeing's production of the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-N (GOES-N) launch starting at 6:15 p.m. EDT, Friday. The GOES-N launch window is from 6:23 to 7:01 p.m. EDT. Liftoff is from Space Launch Complex 37, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla.

The NASA TV Media Channel broadcasts digitally on satellite AMC 6, Transponder 17, at 72 degrees west. Downlink frequency is 4040 MHz. Polarity is vertical. FEC is 3 / 4. Data rate = 36.860 MHz. Symbol = 26.665 Ms. Transmission = DVB. Program = 103. Video PID = 0x0131 = 4145 decimal; Audio PID = 0x01034 = 4148 decimal; AC-3 PID = 0x01035 = 4149 decimal.

Boeing's coverage will also be available, in analog, beginning at 6 p.m. EDT, Friday on satellite AMC 3, Transponder 3C, at 87 degrees west. Uplink is 5985 MHz; polarity is vertical. Downlink is 3760 MHz; polarity is horizontal; audio 6.2 and 6.8. For information about NASA TV on the Web, visit:
