EX-IM BANK 2005 SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA ADVISORY COMMITTEE NAMED
First Meeting of Year To Be Held Today; Howard Jeter to Chair Committee

The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) has named the 10 members of its annual Sub-Saharan Africa Advisory Committee, which will hold the first meeting of the year on February 16, 2005, at the Bank's Washington headquarters. The committee provides expert guidance to Ex-Im Bank in developing policies to strengthen Ex-Im Bank support of U.S. exports to Africa. Amb. Howard Jeter, executive vice president of Goodworks International and a retired Foreign Service Officer who most recently served as U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, will chair the committee.

The other committee members are: Patrick Bauman, treasury manager, Harris Corporation; Patricia Desverges, vice president and CEO of Global Trading International; Bruce Fields, managing director oif Standard Americas Inc. and president of Standard New York Securities Inc.; Willene Johnson, adviser to the Federal Reserve System: Franklin Kennedy, retired CEO of HSBC Equator Bank Plc; Edward Kostenski, president, CEO, and founder of Nationwide Equipment; Timothy McCoy, director of policy and programs for the Corporate Council on Africa; Barry Worthington, executive director of the U.S. Energy Association; and Gerald Zadikoff, CEO of G.M. Selby & Associates Inc.

Ex-Im Bank, the official export credit agency of the United States, helps finance U.S. exports by providing loan guarantees, export credit insurance and direct loans. In fiscal year 2004, Ex-Im Bank assisted in financing $17.8 billion of U.S. exports to markets around the world.
