Four finalists were chosen from the many haikus written at the banquet by Suki's friends and colleagues.

with sneakers and undershirt
a paper is written

Morning sun and tea
laughter sounding in the hallways
Suki must be here

Suki Manabe
is in flux, there is no need
for an adjustment

a thousand year run
