Satellite Press Briefing with Governor Ma’amoun Sami Rasheed, Anbar Province, IraqThe Department of State will host a special Digital Satellite press conference with the Governor of Anbar Province, Iraq. Governor Ma'amoun Sami Rasheed will brief reporters at the Department of State via satellite on the province's return to Provincial Iraqi control.
This on-the-record, on-camera briefing will take place on Tuesday, September 2, at 2:00 p.m. EDT. Reporters will be seated in the Loy Henderson Conference Room; the video feed of the briefing will be of broadcast quality, barring technical difficulties.
Media representatives may attend this briefing upon presentation of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued media identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport).
Members of the press without a Department of State building pass must be escorted between the 23rd Street Lobby and the conference room. Pickup times from the 23rd Street lobby:

Broadcasters interested in a direct feed of the backhaul signal from Iraq may downlink the following DVIDS signal. This backhaul feed will contain only the audio and video of Governor Rasheed, not reporter’s questions from the State Department.
